IRobot Roomba vacuum error codes



The IRobot Roomba vacuum cleaners are distinguished by their construction thoughtfulness in terms of service. From the standpoint of diagnostics, the troubleshooting system provided below in form of an available table come to the rescue.

IRobot Roomba 4150 vacuum error codes

2The side brush cannot turnTurn over Roomba. Look to see if something is wrapped around the side brush. Remove the side brush with a screw driver and check for string or hair that may be wrapped around it.
3The vacuum cannot runRemove and empty Roomba’s bin.
4A wheel motor cannot runYour Roomba may be stuck or something may be wrapped around a wheel. Look for something wrapped around the wheels. Push them in and out and make sure they turn easily.
5The cliff sensors have failed or are blockedTurn over Roomba and clear any debris that might be caught underneath the front bumper in the cliff sensors. You can also use compressed air to clean them out.
6Wheel obstruction or robot attempting to drive over an obstacleTurn over Roomba and remove any obstructions that prevent the wheels from seating all the way up into Roomba’s body. Also, remove any obstacles that Roomba could drive over.
7 or 8Not applicableRoomba’s beep codes do not include 7 or 8 beeps. If you are getting an error with 7 or 8 beeps, try counting again or contact iRobot Customer Care.
9Sensor errorPlease contact iRobot Customer Care.
10Roomba is stuckPick up Roomba and start it again somewhere else. Use a virtual wall or other barrier to keep Roomba away from the place it got stuck.

• Press ‘Clean’ to restart the cycle.
“Uh-oh”+ 1 beepRoomba's main brushes arc stalled• Pick up the Roomba and turn it over and remove the wire guard.
• Look for something blocking the brushes; you may need to remove and reinstall the brushes to remove the obstruction.

• Look for something wrapped around the side brush.
• Remove the side brush with a scrcw driver and check obstructions.
• Replace the side brush, placc Roomba in the ccntcr of the Roomba and press ‘Clean" to resume cleaning

• Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the grill at the back of the debris bin.
• Spin the vacuum impeller around, shaking out any debris that may be stuck.
• Replace the grill and the dust bin.
“Uh-oh” + 4 beepsRoomba's drive motor is stalled• Your Roomba may be stuck, or something may be caught in a wheel.
• If it's stuck, placc it in the ccntcr of the room and press ‘Clean’.
• If it isn't stuck, pick up your Roomba and turn it over and look for something wrapped around the wheels. Push them in and out and verify they rotate freely. Placc Roomba in the middle of the room, press ‘Clean’ and it should resume cleaning.
“Uh-oh” + 5 beepsRoomba's cliff sensors are obstructed• Pick up the Roomba and turn it over.
• Cheek for any debris that might be caught underneath the front bumper, around the cliff sensors.
• Wipe the sensors with a lint-frcc cloth or use compressed air to clcan them out.
“Uh-oh” + 6 beepsRoomba's wheel drop sensors arc overloaded• Pick up your Roomba, put it in the middle of the room, power it OFF and then ON again.
• Select the cleaning cycle you prefer and let it go to work.
“Uh-oh” + 9 beepsRoomba's wheel drop sensors have failed at startup• Your Roomba probably needs to be serviced; please contact Customer Support.
“Uh-oh” + 10 beepsRoomba's bumper is not registering obstacles• If Roomba travels for a long distance without bumping into anything (which would be unusual), it might think it’s stuck and can’t move; press ‘Clean’ again and it should resume cleaning.
