Its products, including security cameras, improve the way people interact with the world. Please, find below the troubleshooting table to improve your way of revealing errors of Lorex security cameras.

Lorex LW2770 series security camera troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
There is no picture from the camera(s)• Check power to the camera.
• Make sure that the cameras and receiver are both ON.
• Make sure that the camera is in range of the receiver.
• The battery is dead. Connect the receiver to a power outlet using the included power adapter.
• The receiver is in Scan mode. Press the power button on the top panel of the receiver to exit Scan mode.
The picture is dropping• Move the camera closer to the receiver.
• Try repositioning the camera, receiver or both to improve the reception.
• Ensure you have raised the antenna(s) on the receiver.
The picture is or has become choppy• The picture may become choppy when experiencing a lower frame rate due to reduced signal strength (i.e. 10 frames per second vs. a higher 20 frames per second).
• Try moving the camera closer to the receiver.
• Remove obstructions between the receiver and camera.
The picture is white• Common situation know as "washout" or "whitewash" where a strong light source is pointed at the camera lens. The camera lens IS NOT harmed during a whitewash.
• DO NOT point your camera towards a light source.
Bright spot in image while viewing camera at night• This occurs when a camera is pointed at a window to see outside, because the night vision LED's produce Infrared light that reflects off the glass. If you need to look outside, install the camera outdoors. Please note that the camera must be installed under shelter when placed outdoors.
There is no audio from the camera(s)• Make sure you have removed the protective film from the camera lens.
• Make sure the receiver volume is not muted. Turn the receiver volume up.
Cannot hear audio when 1 speak• You must release the talk button in order to listen to audio from the camera(s).
Cannot connect to the system remotely• Make sure the receiver is powered on. You must connect the receiver to a local power outlet during remote monitoring.
• Make sure you have connected the receiver to your router using the included Ethernet cable.
• Make sure the receiver shows a green network icon on the LCD display. If the icon is red, you may need to turn the unit off and on again.
Cannot view events on mobile device• The memory card has been removed from the receiver. Insert a memory card with motion recordings stored on it into the receiver to view events on your smartphone / tablet.
Video streams in live viewing are different sizes• Cameras are set to different resolutions (i.e., one is set to VGA and the other to HD). The system will record each resolution normally.

There is no picture from a Camera.• Check power to the Camera. Make sure the adapter is plugged in and the red LED light on the power adapter is on
• Make sure that the Cameras and Receiver are both ON.
• Make sure that the camera is in range of the Receiver.
There is Interference with the Camera Picture.• Make sure that each camera is within range, and that there are no large obstructions or interference
• Try repositioning the camera, receiver or both to improve the reception.
The picture is dropping• Move the camera closer to the receiver.
• Try repositioning the camera, receiver or both to improve the reception.
The Picture is or has become Choppy• The picture may become choppy when experiencing a lower frame rate (i.e. 10 frames per second vs. a higher 20 frames per second).
• Try moving the camera closer to the receiver.
• Remove obstructions between the Receiver and Camera
• Try switching to QVGA mode. Resolution will be reduced but video frame rate will increase
The Picture appears to be grainy/distorted• When using with large screen TV/Monitor (especially high- definition televisions), the picture might be grainy as the camera limits video resolution to VGA (640x480 pixels). This is not a product defect.
• For best performance use with TV/Monitor PIP (Picture in Picture) function. Check your TV/Monitor product manual to see if this feature is available on your TV/Monitor
• View video on a smaller screen TV/Monitor
• Consider increasing the range of the wireless signal with an accessory antenna
The Picture is white• Common situation know as "washout" or "whitewash" where a strong light source is pointed at the camera lens. The camera lens IS NOT harmed during a whitewash.
• DO NOT point your camera towards a liqht source
"Er" appears on the on-screen display• The system has encountered an error with the SD card. Power off the receiver, remove then re-insert the SD card, and then power the receiver back on
• If "Er" still appears on the OSD, format the SD card
The buttons on the receiver don't work• The Lock may be engaged. On the right panel of the receiver, slide the lock away from the SD card slot
• If the lock is disengaged but the buttons still do not function, power the receiver off then power it back on
The 1.2. 3 ,&4 buttons do not change channels• The 1, 2. 3. and U buttons jump to their respective channels while in Quad Mode; press the CHANNEL—M button on the remote control or the receiver to change channels manually

• Please make sure that the screen is not exposed directly to a bright light.
• Please move the camera if necessary.
• Please readjust the back focus of the camera.
The screen is dark.• Please adjust the contrast feature of the monitor.
• If you have an intermediate device, set the 75 / Hi-z properly, and check the terminals.
• Please check if an auto iris lens is being used and adjust the brightness level.
There is a problem with the camera operation. The camera surface is too hot and black stripes appear on the screen.• Please check if an appropriate power source to the camera complies with the manufacturer's standard requirement, or if the voltage keeps changing.
The MOTION DETECTION function is not working.• Please check if 'MOTION DETECTION' mode is turned on.
• Please check if the MD LEVEL is too low.
• Please check the setting of the MD AREA.
Colors are not quite right.• Please check the WHITE BAL' setting.
The screen is flickering.• Please check if the camera is facing directly into sunlight or fluorescent light.
• Please check if an auto iris lens is being used.
• Please check the connection of the lens connector cable.
L/L mode isn't able to be selected.• Have you connected your camera to DC power source? Connect it to AC power source.
L/L mode is not available.• Please check the frequency of power supply (60Hz for NTSC, 50Hz for PAL).
COLOR mode is not working.• Please check if the AGC menu is set to the OFF position.
SENS-UP function is not working.• Please check if the AGC menu is set to the OFF position.
• Please check if the SHUTTER menu is set to MANUAL mode.
